Goodlife Noarlunga is a “satellite” site located in the car park area of Colonnades Shopping Centre in South Australia . The building was originally home to an electrical discount store with standard pre-cast concrete walls, T-bar suspended ceilings and no natural light. Through strategic design & planning, the outcome is a light filled training space that has activated the Colonnades Shopping Centre. The centre piece of the design was the removal of large sections of concrete panels on the prominent corner of the concrete panel box and installing “stepped” glazing to allow natural light into the space. The T-bar ceiling was removed, services exposed and roof structure painted. The use of Goodlife finishes, which A three developed in conjunction with Goodlife, and tactical placement of spaces has transformed this mundane space into an inspiring and welcoming training space.
